[14:55] <Craig> What is it you need to know Ashley
[14:56] <Ashley> can i open a private chat
[14:56] <Ashley> (can i pm you)
[14:59] <Ashley> ?
[15:04] <Ashley> Craig ?
[15:09] <Craig> Just talk in here
[15:09] <Ashley> ok
[15:09] <Craig> What is it you need to knwo
[15:09] <Ashley> well if you go to www.ashleywatson.zzl.org
[15:09] <Ashley> and if you scroll down
[15:09] <Ashley> and you see the buttons and the live chat
[15:10] <Ashley> how do i get that on the right side of the screen
[15:10] <Craig> You have a bad div in your index file.
[15:10] <Ashley> do i?
[15:11] <Craig> Somewhere, your trying to setup a side bar, and you have a div that either starts and doesnt end, or have too many ends,
[15:11] <Craig> This causes the page to not render right,
[15:11] <Ashley> ok
[15:11] <Ashley> ok let me just check it out one second
[15:12] <Craig> Also, any information you want in the sidebar, needs to be under the div <div id="sidebar"> and then end in that same sidebar,
[15:12] <Craig> If you are using notepad for this, I suggest downloading Notepad++ as it has syntax highlighting
[15:13] <Ashley> immusing dreamweaver
[15:14] <Craig> You also need to make sure that under your CSS file, the sidebar is set to float left, and draw only a specific width, and anything inside it must be smaller then that width.
[15:15] <Ashley> ok....
[15:15] <Craig> Thats ok, just remember that since your using a tool that makes it for you, it may not always turn out exactly how you want...
[15:16] <Ashley> well ive edited the div tags
[15:16] <Craig> Here is an example of a CSS page that has a similar look to what you want. http://www.freecsstemplates.org/preview/marked You can use this for reference
[15:20] <Ashley> this is not working
[15:20] <Craig> What is not working?
[15:21] <Ashley> well ive done the div tags
[15:22] <Ashley> ive made the sidebar bigger
[15:22] <Ashley> just to make shore it all fits
[15:22] <Ashley> and its not moving
[15:22] <Ashley> so the sidebar has to float right ?
[15:22] <Craig> Did you take a look at the template I sent you?
[15:22] <Ashley> yes
[15:22] <Ashley> where do i set the sidebar to float ?
[15:23] <Craig> That will be a better explanation, you just need to look for the div tags and the corresponding CSS tags, to better understand
[15:23] <Ashley> left or right ?
[15:23] <Craig> In the CSS file,
[15:23] <Ashley> yes
[15:23] <Craig> I usually edit all my CSS and HTML in a text editor.
[15:23] <Ashley> shall i open the css file in notepad++
[15:25] <Ashley> well the div tags are correct
[15:25] <Craig> That works for me, and if possible can you send it to me in GlitchPC
[15:25] <Craig> Via PM
[15:26] <Ashley> ok
[15:26] <Ashley> what the css file (the sidebar css file) ?
[15:27] <Craig> I dont know how your CSS files are setup, I usually keep it all in one file,
[15:29] <Craig> [15:24] <Craig> That works for me, and if possible can you send it to me in GlitchPC
[15:29] <Craig> [15:24] <Craig> Via PM <- the Glitch PC WEBSITE
[15:29] <Ashley> oh sorry
[15:32] <Ashley> i just got what you meant
[15:32] <Ashley> whats your username
[15:32] <Craig> cengbrecht
[15:33] <Ashley> and ill send you the css file ok
[15:35] <Ashley> ok ?
[15:36] <Craig> ok
[15:37] <Ashley> how do i attach a file
[15:37] <Craig> scroll down a short ways
[15:37] <Ashley> ok i found it
[15:38] <Ashley> it wont let me attch it
[15:39] <Ashley> dont worry
[15:39] <Craig> What is it telling you?
[15:41] <Ashley> dont worry ive sent it
[15:41] <Ashley> im AwComputerHelp
[15:42] <Ashley> got it ?
[15:42] <Craig> That is only 2 of the 5 I saw listed
[15:43] <Ashley> ok ill send them all (the rest)
[15:43] <Ashley> 1 sec

[15:48] <Craig> ok, I have received them
[15:48] <Ashley> ok good
[15:48] <Craig> I am going to send you something in a moment as well.
[15:48] <Ashley> ok
[15:57] <Craig> Here download this zip, it has the redisigned site I just made. http://96.51.19.214:8080/craig/Redesign.zip/view
[15:57] <Craig> It was too big to upload to GlitchPC
[15:58] <Ashley> ok
[16:00] <Ashley> why is it like that
[16:00] <Craig> Like what?
[16:00] <Ashley> how comes it has a new layout and eeverything
[16:00] <Craig> I completelt remade the site in a template,
[16:00] <Craig> it can all be changed, I am trying to help you understand the CSS,
[16:00] <Ashley> oh ok
[16:01] <Craig> You dont need 5 css files to control how the page looks, that is just Dreamweaver, and it can make things very confusing.
[16:02] <Craig> That will make the flow easier to understand,
[16:02] <Craig> then when you understand how it works, you should be able to go back to dreamweaver and fix it.
[16:03] <Ashley> i did 5 different files to make it easier for myself
[16:03] <Craig> Ah, well, that would make life very confusing for me. heh
[16:10] <Craig> Did you have any more questions for me?
[16:12] <Ashley> nope
[16:12] <Ashley> nearly done it
[16:12] <Ashley> i have it on the left side
[16:12] <Ashley> sorry right side
[16:13] <Craig> ah.
[16:13] <Craig> Well, if you do, send me a message I will reply as soon as I see it.
[16:15] <Ashley> erm i have a question quick
[16:20] <Craig> ok
[16:21] <Ashley> 1 sec
[16:21] <Ashley> ok
[16:21] <Ashley> go to www.ashleywatson.zzl.org
[16:21] <Ashley> and on the right side
[16:21] <Craig> I did
[16:21] <Craig> yes
[16:21] <Ashley> how do i get those buttons in 1 row
[16:21] <Ashley> all in line with each other in css
[16:22] <Craig> Look at the Menu div in the CSS I sent you in that Zip, that will show you how.
[16:22] <Ashley> ok
[16:23] <Craig> I believe this is it, list-style: none;
[16:23] <Craig> Not too sure, but it also may be this display: block;
[16:24] <Ashley> ok
[16:28] <Ashley> those are both already in the css coding
[16:37] <Ashley> done it

[17:46] <Tux2> Hi jacky
[17:47] <@jacky> Tux2: Hello
[17:47] <@jacky> :)
[17:47] <Tux2> I've got more updates to install...
[17:47] <@jacky> I saw
[17:47] <Tux2> Including another kernel update...
[17:47] <@jacky> os updates, right?
[17:48] <Tux2> Correct.
[17:48] <Tux2> I'm going to get it done before the top of the hour so wopr2 restarts automatically.
[17:48] <Tux2> going to try*
[17:48] <@jacky> don't worry about it
[17:48] <@jacky> save worrying for a day when it matters
[17:48] <@jacky> :)
[17:49] <Tux2> :)
[17:49] <@jacky> do whatever is easiest for you
[17:49] <Tux2> lol. I know.
[17:49] <Tux2> It should complete.
[17:49] <@jacky> are you about to do it now?
[17:50] <Tux2> Yes, I am downloading it right now.
[17:50] <@jacky> I just shut down Wopr2 then
[17:51] <@jacky> might as well, rather than have him slammed shut.
[17:51] <Tux2> lol. Yeah.
[17:51] <@jacky> what do you have to do, to update?
[17:52] <Tux2> I just go to the Update Manager and hit the Install Updates option. Then it downloads and installs the updates. AFter that it asks me to restart if it downloads a kernel update.
[17:53] <@jacky> ah... so it is mostly automated then....
[17:53] <@jacky> is there a new kernel this time?
[17:53] <Tux2> Yup. A new kernel... new kernels seem to come in spurts.
[17:53] <@jacky> how many meg is that to d/l ?
[17:53] <@jacky> much?
[17:55] <Tux2> 26MB
[17:56] <Tux2> Actually about 35 MB.
[17:56] <@jacky> and you have a fast connection, so that won't take you too long.
[17:56] <@jacky> :)
[17:56] <Tux2> Yup. Already downloaded and installing.
[17:56] <@jacky> cool
[17:56] <Tux2> Hmm... I got a flash update as well...
[17:57] <@jacky> ok
[17:57] <Tux2> Maybe it will fix my flash griefs...
[17:57] <Tux2> Okay, done updating... restarting now... brb.
[17:57] <@jacky> hope so
[17:57] <@jacky> ok
[17:59] <Tux2> Back.
[18:00] <@jacky> yep
[18:00] <@jacky> did you start Wopr2?
[18:00] <Tux2> Nope.
[18:00] <Tux2> He came right up!
[18:00] <@jacky> maybe your clock is a tiny bit fast then
[18:01] <Tux2> lol. It is set by atomic time...
[18:01] <@jacky> so is mine
[18:01] <@jacky> interesting
[18:01] <Tux2> It just turned 6:01.
[18:01] <@jacky> Wopr was back up, and it was not yet :00
[18:01] <@jacky> ah
[18:02] <@jacky> I see it
[18:02] <@jacky> here.. mine was slow by 41 seconds..
[18:02] <@jacky> sometimes that happens, with certain programs
[18:02] <Tux2> Ah.
[18:02] <@jacky> I was making a CD backup
[18:02] <@jacky> taht might have done it
[18:02] <Tux2> :)
[18:02] <@jacky> the clock on this computer hasn't been good in ages. so I know that I set it manually a couple times, daily, with a sync program
[18:03] <@jacky> I'd done it earlier
[18:03] <@jacky> I guess the CD burning wacked it.
[18:03] <Tux2> Have you replaced the CMOS battery?
[18:04] <@jacky> no, why?
[18:04] <Tux2> That could do it.
[18:04] <@jacky> If it was the battery shot, it would lose time altogether, wouldn't it?
[18:05] <Tux2> It may not be altogether dead. Sometimes halfway dead batteries do that.
[18:05] <@jacky> then it has been halfway dead for years
[18:05] <@jacky> heheheh
[18:05] <Tux2> lol
[18:05] <@jacky> a friend told me about a program
[18:05] <@jacky> free naturally
[18:05] <@jacky> with a lot of nice config options
[18:06] <@jacky> not the basic sync, like Windows has
[18:06] <@jacky> Dimension4
[18:06] <@jacky> very nice
[18:06] <@jacky> not sure if there is a linux ver or not
[18:06] <@jacky> but you might note it, and check it out for your Windows stuff
[18:06] <Tux2> Cool.
[18:06] <Tux2> Yeah, I will
[18:07] <@jacky> http://www.thinkman.com/dimension4
[18:12] <Tux2> Okay, gotta go.
[18:12] <@jacky> not far behind you
[18:13] <@jacky> take care
